CMC Workshop on Migration Data Collection and Management

The International Organization for Migration, in collaboration with the United Nations Refugee Agency, hosted a meeting of statisticians and immigration officials with the Caribbean region in Jamaica during the month of September. The workshop, which is part of the Caribbean Migration Consultations mechanism, discussed challenges and solutions related to the collection and management of immigration data. Dr. Natalie Dietrich Jones, and Dr. Natasha Mortley, members of the Migration and Development Cluster, attended the workshop and observed deliberations. Mrs. Allison Bailey-Wedderburn, Project Officer in the Dean's Office at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of the West Indies, also attended the session.
